Connect Scaleway
The Scaleway integration imports your organization's consumption into Cloud Intelligence™. Use Cloud Analytics to analyze Scaleway spend by project, product category, SKU, region, and day, next to your other clouds.
Prerequisites
- A Scaleway organization and permission to manage its IAM applications and policies.
- The organization ID.
- A DoiT account with the Billing Profiles Admin permission.
Connect each Scaleway organization separately. The connection covers every project in the organization.
Create a read-only API key
Use a dedicated IAM application that can only read billing data. Do not use an Owner or personal API key.
- Sign in to the Scaleway console and open IAM > Applications.
- Select Create application, and give it a descriptive name such as
doit-cloud-intelligence. - Open IAM > Policies and select Create policy. Choose the new application as the principal.
- Add a rule scoped to the Organization with the BillingReadOnly permission set, then create the policy.
- Open the application, go to API keys, and select Generate API key. Copy the secret key. Scaleway shows it only once. The access key is not needed.
Copy the organization ID from Organization > Settings.
Connect your organization
- Sign in to Cloud Intelligence.
- Open Data ingestion and integrations > Integrations and find Scaleway.
- Select Connect +.
- Enter the Organization ID and the API secret key.
- Select Test connection, then Save after the test succeeds.
The connection test reads the current month's consumption. A new organization with no usage yet can pass the test.

Labels include Resource, Billing currency, Billing period, Region, and Zone. The resource label is Scaleway's descriptive resource name, not a durable resource ID. Scaleway's billing data does not include resource tags.
Daily costs
Scaleway publishes consumption as month-to-date totals, not daily amounts. DoiT reads the totals once a day and records the change since the previous reading as that day's cost. As a result:
- Consumption from before you connected appears as one amount on the first day of that month.
- Months imported from history, up to twelve months back, appear as one amount on the first day of each month.
- Corrections Scaleway makes after a month closes are added to the last day of that month.
For every month, the daily amounts add up to Scaleway's month-to-date total.
Currency
Scaleway bills in euros. Costs are converted to US dollars with the same monthly exchange rates Cloud Analytics uses for other providers, so Scaleway totals can be compared and combined with your other clouds. The original euro amount is available as the Billing currency amount metric.
Vouchers and discounts
Scaleway applies vouchers and discounts to the whole organization. DoiT imports them as credit rows under the Discounts service, attributed to the organization. Per-SKU costs show the gross amount, and totals show the net amount. Taxes are not included.
Refresh
DoiT reads Scaleway once a day, shortly after midnight UTC. Scaleway updates its totals about every 30 minutes, so the most recent day's cost appears the next day.
Troubleshooting
- Test connection returns 401: The secret key is wrong, expired, or was revoked. Generate a new key for the application.
- Test connection returns 403: The application's policy is missing the BillingReadOnly permission set at organization scope.
- Totals differ from the invoice: Invoices include taxes, and DoiT shows costs in US dollars. Compare the Billing currency amount metric before tax with the invoice, for the same month.
