Connect Cartesia
Cartesia builds real-time voice AI models and hosted voice agents. The Cartesia integration imports your organization's daily credit usage and agent charges into Cloud Intelligence™ so you can analyze voice AI spend in Cloud Analytics by capability, model, API key, and key owner.
Prerequisites
-
A Cartesia organization in which you are an organization admin. Admin API keys can only be created by organization admins.
-
A DoiT account with the Billing Profiles Admin permission.
Required credentials
| Field | Description | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Organization | A short name for the Cartesia organization, used to label the connection | Cartesia Playground > workspace switcher |
| Subscription plan | The organization's plan: Free, Pro, Startup, Scale, or Enterprise | Cartesia Playground |
| Admin API key | An admin API key beginning with sk_car_admin_ | Cartesia Playground > Admin API keys |
Cartesia's usage endpoints only accept admin API keys (sk_car_admin_...). A standard generation key (sk_car_...) is rejected. Admin keys cannot generate speech or transcribe audio, so the key you share with DoiT has no access to your voice workloads.
Create an admin API key
-
Sign in to the Cartesia Playground as an organization admin and select the organization in the workspace switcher.
-
Navigate to Admin API keys.
-
Select Create admin key and give it a descriptive name, for example
doit-cloud-intelligence. -
Copy the key.
注意The key is only shown once. Make sure to copy it before closing the dialog.
Connect your Cartesia organization
-
Sign in to Cloud Intelligence, select Data ingestion and integrations > Integrations from the top navigation mega menu.
-
Search for Cartesia in the integrations catalog.
-
Select Connect + on the integration card.
-
Enter the Organization name, choose the Subscription plan, and paste the Admin API key.
-
Select Test connection to verify DoiT can read your Cartesia usage.
-
If the test is successful, select Save to complete the setup.
If the test fails or you need further assistance, please open an expert inquiry.
Upon initial connection, DoiT imports up to 12 months of historical Cartesia usage. The import process can take a few hours. You'll receive an email when the data is available in Cloud Analytics.
How credits become cost
Cartesia meters text to speech, speech to text, infill, and voice cloning in credits drawn from your plan's monthly allotment, and bills hosted voice agents per minute in US dollars.
-
Agent charges are imported as billed, in US dollars.
-
Credits are imported as usage, and priced at your plan's implied rate: the plan's monthly price divided by its included credits. For example, a Startup plan at $49 for 1.25M credits prices each 1,000 credits at about $0.039. Choose the plan that matches your subscription so the rate is right.
-
Enterprise plans have no public price, so Enterprise credits appear as usage with zero cost until a negotiated price is configured.
Subscription fees, prepaid balances, and overage invoices are not exposed by Cartesia's API and are therefore not included. Credits that Cartesia reports for the organization but does not attribute to any API key or to the playground appear under the Attribution label as unattributed, so totals always match Cartesia's usage page.
Data refresh
DoiT refreshes your Cartesia usage daily. Cartesia reports usage at daily granularity in UTC, and a day is imported once it has closed.
Reporting dimensions
Once connected, Cartesia data maps to the following standard Cloud Analytics dimensions:
| Cloud Analytics dimension | Cartesia value | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | Cartesia | Cartesia |
| Billing Account | Organization name | my-org |
| Service | Capability, or Voice Agents | Text to Speech, Speech to Text, Voice Agents |
| SKU | Model version, or Agent minutes | sonic-3-2026-01-12, ink-whisper-2025-06-04, Agent minutes |
In addition to standard dimensions, the following Cartesia-specific labels are available:
| Label | Description |
|---|---|
| Model | The model version that consumed the credits, for example sonic-3-2026-01-12 or ink-whisper-2025-06-04 |
| Capability | The metered capability: tts (text to speech, including infill), stt (speech to text), or agents |
| API key | The API key that made the requests, by its description |
| API key owner | Email of the organization member who created the API key |
| Attribution | How the row was attributed: api_key, playground, unnamed_key, deleted_key, unattributed, or agents |
| Plan | The subscription plan selected at connection time |
| Organization | The Cartesia organization the charge belongs to |
Usage amounts are measured in credits for model capabilities and in minutes for voice agents. Agent call counts are available as the cartesia.usage.agent_calls metric.
Cartesia costs appear in the GenAI Intelligence dashboard alongside other supported GenAI providers.
