Connect Fastly

Fastly is an edge cloud platform providing CDN, edge computing, security, and video streaming services. The Fastly integration imports your invoice and usage data into DoiT Cloud Intelligence so you can analyze Fastly costs in Cloud Analytics.

Prerequisites

• A Fastly account with access to billing data.
• A DoiT account with the Billing Profiles Admin permission.

Required credentials

Field	Description	Where to find it
Customer ID	Your Fastly customer identifier	Fastly management console → Account → Account Settings
API Token	API token with at least global:read scope	Fastly management console → Account → API Tokens

Create an API token

1. Sign in to the Fastly management console.

2. Navigate to Account → API Tokens.

3. Select Create Token.

4. Set the scope to at least global:read.

5. Copy the token.

   Caution

   The token is only shown once. Make sure to copy it before leaving the page.

Connect your Fastly account

1. Sign in to DoiT Cloud Intelligence, navigate to Data ingestion and integrations → Assets.

2. Select Fastly from the left-hand menu, and then select Connect new account.

3. Enter your Customer ID and API Token.

4. Select Test connection to verify DoiT can access your Fastly billing data.

5. If the test is successful, select Save to complete the setup.

   If the test fails or you need further assistance, please open an expert inquiry.

Note

Upon initial connection, DoiT ingests your historical invoice data. The import process can take a few hours. You'll receive an email when the data is available in Cloud Analytics.

Data refresh

DoiT refreshes your Fastly data daily. Data typically becomes available within 48 hours of being generated by Fastly.

Reporting dimensions

Once connected, Fastly data maps to the following standard Cloud Analytics dimensions:

In addition to standard dimensions, the following Fastly-specific labels are available:

Delete your Fastly connection

1. Sign in to DoiT Cloud Intelligence, navigate to Data ingestion and integrations → Assets.

2. Select Fastly from the left-hand menu.

3. Select the three dots menu (⋮) at the rightmost end of the account you want to remove and select Delete.

4. Select Delete to confirm.
