Connect RunPod
RunPod is a GPU cloud for AI training, fine-tuning, and inference. The RunPod integration imports your account's daily spend on Pods, Serverless endpoints, and network volumes into Cloud Intelligence™ so you can analyze GPU spend in Cloud Analytics by service, Pod, and Serverless endpoint.
Prerequisites
-
A RunPod account or team in which you can create API keys.
-
A DoiT account with the Billing Profiles Admin permission.
Required credentials
| Field | Description | Where to find it |
|---|---|---|
| Account name | A short name for the RunPod account or team, used to label the connection. Lowercase letters, digits, and hyphens only | Your choice |
| API key | An API key with Read Only permission | RunPod console > Settings > API Keys |
Create a read-only API key
-
Sign in to the RunPod console. If you use a team, switch to that team first: API keys belong to the account or team they are created in.
-
Navigate to Settings > API Keys and select Create API Key.
-
Give the key a descriptive name, for example
doit-cloud-intelligence, and set its permission to Read Only. -
Copy the key.
CautionThe key is only shown once. Make sure to copy it before closing the dialog.
Connect your RunPod account
-
Sign in to Cloud Intelligence, select Data ingestion and integrations > Integrations from the top navigation mega menu.
-
Search for RunPod in the integrations catalog.
-
Select Connect + on the integration card.
-
Enter the Account name and paste the API key.
-
Select Test connection to verify DoiT can read your RunPod billing data.
-
If the test is successful, select Save to complete the setup.
If the test fails or you need further assistance, please open an expert inquiry.
Upon initial connection, DoiT imports up to 12 months of historical RunPod spend. The import process can take a few hours. You'll receive an email when the data is available in Cloud Analytics.
What is imported
| Service | Includes |
|---|---|
| Pods | GPU and CPU Pod compute, plus the Pod's container and volume disk |
| Serverless | Serverless endpoint workers, both flex and active |
| Network Volumes | Network volume storage, standard and high-performance |
Costs are the usage charges RunPod deducts from your account balance, in USD. Credit purchases, promotional credits, and invoices are not imported.
Data refresh
DoiT refreshes your RunPod spend every 6 hours. RunPod reports billing at daily granularity in UTC, and a day is imported once it has closed.
Reporting dimensions
Once connected, RunPod data maps to the following standard Cloud Analytics dimensions:
| Cloud Analytics dimension | RunPod value | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Provider | RunPod | RunPod |
| Billing Account | Account name | my-team |
| Project | Pod ID or Serverless endpoint ID | abc123xyz |
| Service | Pods, Serverless, or Network Volumes | Pods |
| SKU | GPU type, or CPU for CPU Pods | NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 |
| Resource | Pod ID or Serverless endpoint ID | abc123xyz |
In addition to standard dimensions, the following RunPod-specific labels are available:
| Label | Description |
|---|---|
| Account | The RunPod account name entered at connection time |
| Pod | The ID of the Pod the charge belongs to |
| Serverless endpoint | The ID of the Serverless endpoint the charge belongs to |
| GPU type | The GPU type that ran the Pod or Serverless worker, for example NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 |
Pod and Serverless usage is measured in billed hours. Network volume usage is measured in billed GB-hours.
RunPod costs appear in the GenAI Intelligence dashboard alongside other supported GenAI providers.
