Connect ClickHouse Cloud

ClickHouse Cloud is a fast, open-source columnar database management system optimized for real-time analytics at scale. The ClickHouse Cloud integration imports your usage and cost data into DoiT Cloud Intelligence so you can analyze ClickHouse spending in Cloud Analytics.

Prerequisites

• A ClickHouse Cloud account with access to create API keys.
• A DoiT account with the Billing Profiles Admin permission.

Required credentials

Field	Description	Where to find it
Organization ID	Your ClickHouse Cloud organization ID (UUID format)	ClickHouse Cloud console → Settings → Organization
API Key	API key in key_id:key_secret format	ClickHouse Cloud console → Settings → API Keys → Create key (Developer role)

Create an API key

1. Sign in to the ClickHouse Cloud console.

2. Navigate to Settings → API Keys.

3. Select Create key.

4. Assign the Developer role to the key.

5. Copy both the Key ID and Key Secret, and combine them as key_id:key_secret.

   Caution

   The key secret is only shown once. Make sure to copy it before closing the dialog.

Connect your ClickHouse Cloud account

1. Sign in to DoiT Cloud Intelligence, navigate to Data ingestion and integrations → Assets.

2. Select ClickHouse Cloud from the left-hand menu, and then select Connect new account.

3. Enter your Organization ID and API Key (in key_id:key_secret format).

4. Select Test connection to verify DoiT can access your ClickHouse data.

5. If the test is successful, select Save to complete the setup.

   If the test fails or you need further assistance, please open an expert inquiry.

Note

Upon initial connection, DoiT ingests your historical usage data. The import process can take a few hours. You'll receive an email when the data is available in Cloud Analytics.

Data refresh

DoiT refreshes your ClickHouse Cloud data every 6 hours. Usage data typically becomes available within 24–26 hours of being generated by ClickHouse.

Reporting dimensions

Once connected, ClickHouse Cloud data maps to the following standard Cloud Analytics dimensions:

In addition to standard dimensions, the following ClickHouse-specific labels are available:

Category	Entity type (e.g. service, warehouse)
Subcategory	Usage type (e.g. compute, storage)
Resource ID	The unique entity identifier

Delete your ClickHouse Cloud connection

1. Sign in to DoiT Cloud Intelligence, navigate to Data ingestion and integrations → Assets.

2. Select ClickHouse Cloud from the left-hand menu.

3. Select the three dots menu (⋮) at the rightmost end of the account you want to remove and select Delete.

4. Select Delete to confirm.
