Create connection from existing permissions

Use Create connection from existing permissions when your AWS accounts, Azure tenants, Google Cloud projects, or Oracle Cloud tenancies are already connected to DoiT Cloud Intelligence. CloudFlow creates a connection that reuses the connected cloud resource's access. You do not need to run the connection wizard or deploy new credentials from CloudFlow.

Permissions for resources connected to DoiT Cloud Intelligence are managed within the linked cloud configurations. See Edit connections that use existing permissions.

Required permissions

To create connections from existing permissions, your DoiT account must have the CloudFlow Manager permission. See CloudFlow permissions.

Prerequisites

At least one AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud configuration must already be linked through Cloud Connect, or an OCI Asset must exist:

Create connections

  1. Sign in to the DoiT console, select Automation and operations from the top navigation mega menu, and then select CloudFlow.

  2. From the sidebar, select Connections.

  3. Select the AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle Cloud tab for the provider you want.

  4. Select Create connection from existing permissions.

  5. Select the configurations to import:

    • For AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud, search by name or ID if needed. Each row shows the linked configuration and its status. Select one or more configurations, or use Select all.

    • For Oracle Cloud, select one or more eligible OCI Assets from the list.

Configurations that already have a CloudFlow connection can't be selected.

  6. (Optional, AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud) Select the external-link icon on a row to View configuration and review or update the setup of the connected accounts.

  7. Select Create (or Create N connections when multiple rows are selected). A confirmation message shows how many connections were created or skipped.

Successful connections appear in the connections list with the subtitle Using existing permissions and can be assigned to flows immediately.

Azure connections can only be created from existing permissions. They remain linked to Cloud Connect and use the connected tenant's current access when a flow runs. See Azure connection for Azure-specific prerequisites and next steps.

Oracle Cloud connections are available to customers enrolled in Early Access and can only be created from an OCI Asset. Billing ingestion permissions are not sufficient for CloudFlow actions; see Oracle Cloud connection.

To edit connections, see Edit connections that use existing permissions.
