Ava in Slack

You can chat with Ava, the DoiT AI assistant, directly in Slack. Ava answers questions about the DoiT console and multicloud environments (for example, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure) in a Slack conversation, so your team can discuss, for example, costs, anomalies, and incident responses using a channel where you already collaborate. For example, in Slack you might ask, What were our top GCP services by cost last month? or Walk me through acknowledging a cost anomaly in the console and then refine the answer with follow-ups in the same conversation.

注意

Ava in Slack may not support every workflow in the same way as in the DoiT console. For example, chat history, uploading files, exporting a reply as an image, and creating an expert inquiry described in Manage conversations.

Prerequisites

  • The DoiT app for Slack must be installed. Access to Ava requires the most recent version of the app.

  • Ava must be included in your DoiT plan. See Availability.

  • You may have to sign-in to Slack the first time you use Ava or when your DoiT session has expired. Complete the sign-in with the same email address you use for your DoiT account. This should match the email on your Slack profile.

Use Ava in Slack

  1. In Slack, open the DoiT app.

  2. Start a new conversation with the DoiT app

  3. Type a question or select one of the suggested prompts. Ava streams the reply in the conversation.

  4. In channels where the DoiT app is available, you can also mention it directly in a message, for example:
@DoiT International (dev) What is my recent anomaly?

  5. If Ava asks you to approve an action before it can continue, read the summary and confirm or cancel, as appropriate.

  6. For follow-up questions, reply in the same Slack conversation so Ava keeps the conversation context. Starting a new conversation begins a separate context.

  7. Use the

buttons on the answers to help us improve Ava's answers.
