Introduction
MongoDB is an open-source, NoSQL database that handles large volumes of unstructured and semi-structured data, while providing high performance and scalability.
MongoDB Atlas is MongoDB's fully managed cloud database service. Atlas costs are driven by factors such as server vs serverless, size of cluster, cloud host, region, backup options, and usage. Integrating MongoDB Atlas with DoiT enables you to monitor your MongoDB Atlas costs and usage data alongside your cloud and application costs.
DoiT only supports MongoDB Atlas instances. Other MongoDB products such as Cloud Manager, Ops Manager, or self-hosted MongoDB deployments are not yet supported.
Benefitsβ
-
Unified cost structure. DoiT enables you to integrate MongoDB Atlas cost and usage data alongside data from your other cloud providers, giving you a comprehensive view of your cloud expenditures and facilitating better financial decision-making.
-
Enhanced visibility. Once you've imported your MongoDB Atlas data into the DoiT platform, you can start using Cloud Analytics and other DoiT features such as Budgets, Allocations, Forecasting and Anomaly detection to analyze and monitor your MongoDB cost and usage.
Key featuresβ
-
MongoDB Intelligence. The preset MongoDB Intelligence dashboard helps you understand the true cost of using MongoDB Atlas. Use the dashboard to decide how and when to optimize costs, monitor performance, and more.
-
Multi-organization onboarding and management. Monitor the cost of using MongoDB across different business units or various clients.
-
Near real-time cost analysis. Track the dynamic and on-demand usage of MongoDB Atlas. Seeing near real-time costs allows you to immediately detect and investigate unexpected spending spikes or cost anomalies.
-
Multi-dimensional cost attribution. Allows you to assign MongoDB Atlas costs to specific business dimensions such as projects, teams, and features. This helps you understand the true cost of delivering business value.
