Investigate alerts

Required permissions

To investigate an alert, you must meet one of the following criteria:

• You have the Cloud Analytics Admin permission.

• You have the Cloud Analytics User permission, and the alert was shared with you or you are its Owner.

• You have the Alerts Read Only permission, and the alert was shared with you.

Investigating an alert opens the corresponding Cloud Analytics report.

Investigate an alert

To investigate an alert:

1. Navigate to the main Alerts screen.

2. Locate the alert of interest.

3. Select Investigate.

   This will open a cloud analytics report, using the alert scope as the filter and the Evaluate for each setting for grouping.

The report below corresponds to the example settings when creating an alert from scratch.
