Invoice explainer

The Invoice explainer is only available if you have a dedicated payer account.

When you partner with DoiT, the DoiT invoice sent to you often differs from the invoice AWS sends to us on your behalf. The different layouts and pricing structures between the two often lead to confusion.

Our Invoice explainer helps you understand AWS' invoice to DoiT, compared to DoiT's invoice to you clearly, and focusing on key elements such as usage, Savings Plans, support costs, and discounts. In other words, you can compare your usage and services costs with DoiT, to what DoiT is charged by AWS according to your usage.

You can use the Invoice explainer for your AWS invoices. However, the explainer won't be available if your AWS invoice has needed manual adjustments after being issued.

If you use invoice bucketing and Flexsave, Flexsave AWS charges are assigned to your default bucket.

Use the Invoice explainer

All the numbers in the Invoice explainer are displayed in US Dollars (USD).

To use the Invoice explainer:

1. Log in to the DoiT Console, select Billing from the top navigation bar, and then select Invoices.

2. Select an AWS invoice you want to dig depeer into, and in the Invoice Details page, select Understand this invoice.

3. Once the Invoice explainer opens, you can compare what you're billed for in each provider.

   

   Note

   AWS has a different rounding system than DoiT, so numbers can be a few cents out.

4. If there's an item you're not familiar with, hover over it to read a short description.
