View history

Cloud Diagrams record every action performed in the imported account or project related to the elements in a diagram or the elements on the global network layer. Changes are grouped by type, for example, Created, Updated, and Deleted. This is useful for audits, compliance, and understanding your cloud environment.

Required permissions

To use Cloud Diagrams, your DoiT account must have the Cloud Diagram User permission.

View history

1. From the dashboard, select a diagram or open the global network layer.

2. In the sidebar, under Details, select History. In Version History, you can see how your diagram or global network layer has changed.

3. (Optional) Expand Filters to filter your resources by tag. Start typing and Cloud Diagrams suggests the relevant tags. Select the tags you want to filter on.

4. From the version history you can:

   • Expand an entry and hover over a resource to reveal the exact changes made to that resource during that version. Select the resource to focus the diagram on that resource, allowing you to drill down and investigate further.

     

   • Select Compare with current to compare a previous snapshot with the current state.
