This page provides examples that demonstrate typical ways to monitor and analyze your operation using analytical reports.

Cost metrics​

This section includes three examples, each for a tenant level in the hierarchical model.

  • Distributor view.

    • Billed Cost: The amount the distributor is charged by the cloud provider.

    • Resold Cost: The amount the distributor charges its resellers (the current example has no discount exclusions or up-charges).

  • Reseller view.

    • Billed Cost: The amount the reseller is charged by its distributor.

    • Resold Cost: The amount the reseller charges the end customer, Customer C in the example.

    • Margin: The reseller's gross margin. Margin = Resold Cost βˆ’ Billed Cost

  • End customer view.

    • Billed Cost: The amount the end customer is charged by its reseller.

Marketplace transactions​

In this example, an end customer user tracks Marketplace transactions using the Host Provider Name dimension.

Revenue Management - T3 Marketplace transactions

A distributor or reseller user can also use Host Provider Name or Service Provider Name to track Marketplace transactions.

The example below is run at the distributor level.
