Introduction
The Assets page in the DoiT console is a central location for managing your cloud assets—resources or services hosted or managed within your cloud environment.
Based on the service model of the asset vendor, there are two types of assets:
-
Assets by cloud providers. Cloud providers deliver core cloud infrastructure services (IaaS, Infrastructure as a Service)—compute, storage, and networking. They also offer their own PaaS (Platform as a Service) and SaaS (Software as a Service).
For the three major cloud providers—Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure, the DoiT console supports the following asset types:
- Amazon Web Services accounts
- Google Cloud billing accounts, Google Cloud projects, Google Workspace subscriptions, Google Cloud Looker subscriptions
- Microsoft Azure subscriptions, Microsoft 365 subscriptions
-
Assets by SaaS/PaaS providers. For third-party solutions that run on top of cloud platforms and offer specialized capabilities such as analytics or monitoring, the DoiT console supports the following asset types:
- Snowflake accounts
- Datadog accounts
- OpenAI accounts
