Tag assets
You can tag an asset for classification purposes. Tags will appear on invoices to help you identify invoice items.
Required Permissions: Assets Manager
Tag an asset
Only one tag is allowed per asset.
To tag an asset:
Log in to the DoiT Console, select Billing from the top navigation bar, and then select Assets.
On the Assets page, select an asset type from the left-hand menu. Assets of the chosen type will be listed on the same page.
Find the asset of interest (you can use logical operation or filter by property for non-subscription assets).
The way you tag an asset depends on its asset type.
Non-subscription asset
Select the asset name from the assets list or use the three dots menu (⋮) at the rightmost end of the asset entry to open the asset settings window.
In the Asset tag field, enter a new tag or select an existing one from the list.
Save your changes.
Subscription asset
Select the three dots menu (⋮) in the upper-right corner of the asset card, and then select Tag Asset.
Enter a new tag or select an existing one from the list.
Save your changes.
The tag will be visible under the asset name in the form of a chip.
All new tags will be added to the global tag list and will be available for use with other assets.
